Suggestions for celebrating New Year’s eve.

Hey everyone. I'm from India, visiting Houston for 3 months for work. I'll be reaching on 31st in the afternoon. I really don't want to start the new year in my hotel room. Any events that you'd recommend? (Staying in The Woodlands) I'm not going to a loud party with strangers so that's out. Thanks.
