Suggestions as a place to live

Hello people of Houston, I am considering moving to Houston from Kansas. I’m trying to finish up my associates degree and get out of Kansas. I am looking for job suggestions and apartments that are affordable. I’m looking to be making at least $24 an hour, ideally I’d eventually like to return to school so any suggestions as Houston being a place to try to make some roots for myself I would appreciate. I’m looking to leave by late 2026 and I’m considering other cities as well. Thank you folks for any suggestions.
