Subterranean termite treatment?

Fellow Houstonians,

The prior owner of my home had it treated for subterranean termites 10 years ago. The warranty on the treatment just expired, so the company is pitching a new treatment for $1,600. Is this worth paying for? I'm relatively new to Houston and am not sure of the risk justifies the cost. Thanks!
