Stuck in Cancun - Pilot Strike + Bad Weather

I didn't see a post on this, so I thought I would share because I think hundreds of Houstonians (or at least people traveling through Houston) have been affected. United canceled at least two flights from Cancun to Houston today – after delaying them for about six hours before canceling. There is a strong fear that we won't be able to secure a flight back before Tuesday (airline reps said that could happen, and as of the creation of this post there are no scheduled flights through United from Cancun to Houston tomorrow). I know the weather was bad, but as there were several direct flights that did take off, I think this is more a result of the pilot protest. I actually support collective bargaining – as a consumer, this situation sucks but I understand. That said, I saw no posts about this on the sub, so FYI:
