Struggling to find entry level work with Physics Bachelors in Houston

Hello everyone,

This post is written on behalf of my girlfriend. Whom graduated December 2020, and has since been working a part time remote position in customer service.

She is experienced in Python and Excel, and has a bachelors degree in physics, focus in astrophysics, minor in mathematics. Her internship experience is primarily research, although she is literally looking for anything that is full time and pays money at this point.

While she’s focused on engineering positions, she’s now looking at finance, data analytics, research… and has applied to multiple staffing agencies [all of which have ignored her]. She’s had 2 interviews total, even the staffing agencies don’t reply!

Her resume is well developed with A LOT of feedback from third parties, her LinkedIn is detailed and well written. How can we find a job, an entry level job, some type of employment in this city. It’s absolutely killing her that she can’t even get an interview.
