Strikezone

I’m going to start by saying this was a horrendous start for JV and I’m not exactly sure what he should do. Ok so I am not able to watch the game tonight as I have plans, but looking at the ESPN app it looks like there were plenty of strikes that were called balls. Can anyone confirm if this is true?
