Stressing over finding an apartment in 2 weeks
Im currently typing his unable to sleep bc of how stressed I feel. I moved back home 3years ago after university. I began my apartment search last winter and thought I had no issues until I found that my old university apartment sent Fraudulent charges to collections. I am someone w/ not much credit history until recently and not much rental history outside of my uni ones( where my parents were my guarantors) So now w/ this on my credit – it def doesn’t help. I stopped apt searching and put all my energy into trying to fight this. I have been fighting it for a while and it’s been a slow process. I work a very time demanding job so I don’t get much free time.
Summer rates are a lot higher than winter rates but atp I’m ready to move as my living circumstances are not healthy. I’m in search of an apartment that’s 700 plus sq ft, around Mid $1300’s or below preferably, upgraded (white accents) and in areas that aren’t 40+min from Sugarland area. I use a locator and reviewing the Apts- A lot of these luxury apartments that fall in my criteria will have terrible reviews: mentioning “roaches”, super thin wall/ floors”terrible management.
Another reason I’m stressed is bc a close person to me( who has a high income) offered to be my guarantor to alleviate the effect of the negative rental history showing on my credit. But the hiccup with that is the person now plans to quit their job in 2 weeks. So that leaves me two weeks to find an apartment. I don’t have a veh so it’s harder for me tour. I’m feeling very stressed and extremely anxious. I’m currently unable toApartment search has been one of the most stressful moments in life and I feel like giving up but I’m trying extremely hard not to. So please any tips, tricks, locations, apartment suggestions.
