Strategy question when facing a “lights out” pitcher.

I consider this sometimes when teams play against a club with a super-dominant pitcher….Skubal is the Triple Crowner, surely Cy Young, etc. Would a team ever consider almost, but not quite, conceding game 1…..send our #3 starter against Skubal, then Framber (our #1) vs their #2 and then our #2 vs their #3 ? That way you don’t “waste” a quality start from Framber against a stud. I wonder ?
