Stranger knocking on our door in the middle of the night.
This occurred in the outskirts of South Houston TX, around 1am-3am.
I live in a an apartment complex (upstairs to be exact) and as I slept, there was a stranger outside knocking at our door.
He would walk away and come back a total of three times.
At this point, my down stairs neighbor noticed and called my mother who also lives with me, and told us not to open the door. The man seemed violent and unhinged.
It is important to note, I was sleeping upstairs the entire time this was happening.
The only ones awake were my mother and brother who handled the situation. My brother called the cops and once they arrived, the suspect was gone.
After an hour of searching the area, the cops returned and informed us, the suspect matching the description had been found and arrested. He had a previous warrant for his arrest and was taken to county jail.
Houston is a HUGE city, yet I can’t seem to find any information online.
Call me paranoid or whatever, but since I slept through the whole thing, I need peace in mind that this won’t happen again. I also understand it’s a bit foolish of me to hope nothing like this will happen again, but I can’t help, but to worry.
We’ve lived in the complex for 9 years, and not once had we experienced an incident like this before. I don’t know if this was a targeted or random attack and we just so happen to be the unlucky people he chose to torment last night.
The fact that I slept throughout the whole thing scares me. Can’t help, but to think the worst things and what can happen if he decides to come back? We’ve ordered security cameras, but that’s about it.
Has anyone dealt with this type of situation before? What are your thoughts/advice? ðŸ’
