Starting a book+movie club!

So turns out there are a lot of people who really want to connect with others over books. I personally have been feeling the lack of community and good, playful socialization very hard since the lockdown ended.

I’m starting a book club to meet in person at a cafe and discuss fun ideas, thoughts and experiences.

I usually gravitate toward thoughtful, funny and classic books, but I’m open to exploring more. Same goes with movies. I’m hoping to help myself and a small group of Gen Z/millennials in the city to gain fun – which is described by Catherine Price in “The Power of Fun” as a combination of:

• connection
• flow and
• playfulness
