Stalled trains in EaDo

What is up with the frequent stalled trains blocking intersections on this side of town??

I recently started working on this side of town and just this past week gettin to work or leaving work has been a nightmare due to trains blocking intersections. I wouldn’t mind if they were at least moving but they park and block multiple intersections and make it difficult for emergency vehicles and others to get around! Just this week I had to deal with 5 stalled trains at different times/days, I had to get around 2 different stalled trains just today!!

I found an article from 2019 highlighting the issue but there wasn’t any conclusive answer besides there being no rules or regulations against this in the city limits.

Some of these trains stay stalled for 2+ hours, I’ve waited at one for 2 hours before I was able to squeeze my way out due to there being so many cars. Why Is this so frequent and how can we as citizens alleviate this problem? Who can we even contact?? It doesn’t seem like Union Pacific Is doing anything about it and I feel like it’s getting worse. There’s also no laws or rules against train companies doing this so there’s no penalty or incentive for them to remediate the issue.

I’m sure there’s railroad workers here that can chime in or explain why these things even happen in the first place. I just want to get to work without pulling my hair out because I decided to take Lockwood, or similar roads nearby, and am now late for work or an appointment.
