Spirit Airlines to resume 14 routes out of IAH after Covid-19 halted flights

Florida-based Spirit Airlines (NYSE: SAVE) averaged one daily flight out of Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in May.

Next month, that figure is expected to be 20, the company said June 9.

In May, Spirit only operated two nonstop routes out of IAH: to Las Vegas (LAS) and Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD). Now, the ultra-low-cost carrier is resuming 14 routes that had been temporarily suspended due to lack of demand caused by the pandemic.
