Southern Yankee announces they’re being put up for sale

To our friends and family that have helped build Southern Yankee Beer Company — the time has come to announce the brewery is listed for sale. Rather than be a focus of rumor and speculation, we decided to be open about this step, knowing that you would be understanding. As you might know, running a business is not easy and many members of the Porter family balance full-time pursuits outside of the industry. We have decided it is time to focus on our next chapter and allow the brewery to benefit from new ownership.

The pandemic was a wild time; we appreciate that you got us through those years. Heck, many of you supported us at both locations as we opened the Crafthouse in 2021.

We’d love to conclude this chapter as we started — brewing from our variety of more than 100 distinct beers on rotation and sharing with our friends. Come hang out with us! We’re operating as normal until new ownership takes over to build their own dream.

We can’t thank you enough for your support. We’ve developed friendships that are deeper than a shared love for craft beer over the last five years.
