Someone just mistook me for a Trump supporter bc of my colt .45s hat

I was leaving the gym and a woman excitedly asked me if I was a president Trump supporter. I was so caught off guard I awkwardly laughed and said “I’m not going to talk about that with you!” and continued through the door. I was so confused as to why she asked me that and thought maybe she was just an exuberant supporter campaigning for him since the election is tomorrow.

In the parking lot I realized it’s because I was wearing a hat that says “.45s” (Astros hat). I seriously never considered that it could be misconstrued as a Trump hat. I have been wearing this hat for years (before Trump was ever even president!) Have people been thinking this for years?? Would you think that if you saw this hat?
