Some thoughts heading to the draft

Just watched the condensed game highlights of some of our games from last year and here are some thoughts:

– We absolutely need to get better in the trenches..we for the most part got bullied last year (Bills game, both colts games, first 3 quarters of the Rams game..etc) we looked like a college team playing an NFL team and that starts with controlling the line of scrimmage.

– The interior Oline is the biggest priority to me. We couldnt run the ball at all last year and it was probably the least physical Texans offense I've ever seen (which is really saying something). Okwenu or Evan Neal is definitely who I want at 3

– Overall the defense is ahead of the offense on this team. Our defense is still a bottom 5 unit but they actually werent THAT bad last year…especially given how futile the offense was. We completely lacked explosiveness and mostly got chunk yardage from trick plays or throws into double teams where we probably got a bit lucky. Outside of Cooks our WRs were basically never open. I wouldnt be mad if we went offense back to back and got a WR like Williams, Wilson or London at 13. Nico Collins did some good things at the end of the year, but we cant just operate under the assumption that he's going to be a good 2nd option this year. Recent first round WRs have made immediate impacts and this class is loaded…let's get a weapon! Could see us also taking the top WR on our board at 37 if we take best defensive player available at 13

– Kinda surprised we havent made a move on a tight end. We got basically nothing from our TE's this year and a good safety blanket would be huge for Mills going forward. Hopefully Brevin Jordan can become this, but i wouldnt be opposed to a TE with one of our 3rds either..

– Our defense definitely has problems at every level but you could tell the unit was well coached last year and played hard. Really hope Greenard can stay healthy and that Roy Lopez or Ross Blacklock can develop into an impact player for us this year.
