Some of the best spots in downtown?

I’ll be in Houston for a few days this week with a good amount of downtime to explore. I won’t have a car and will be staying about 10 minutes from the George R Brown convention center.

Was hoping for suggestions of great day/night food, bars/tap rooms, museums/galleries, and record/oddity shops within walking or quick Uber rides.

I’m excited to check out the city – even though it will be a microcosm of what’s really there.
