solo travel august 11th-15th recs

I'm heading into town for a summit running the 12th-14th. Coming up on the 11th from the RGV so will be in town with free time from the early afternoon and on. I should also have evenings free the whole weekend. I love food, art, music, did I say food? I've been up to Houston twice in the last year but this will be my first time visiting on my own so I'm not really sure what to do! Looking for any suggestions that are safe and LGBTQ+ friendly.
