So far CJ Stroud has the highest PFF score among the 3 rookie QBs

Also before anyone cries about "low grade" overall. That is usually the case with rookies before the big jump happens 2nd season.

Trevor Lawrence was at 59.6 as a rookie before it jumped to 77.4 and then 81.2 this year.

  1. CJ Stroud: 60.7

  2. Anthony Richardson: 55.3

  3. Bryce Young: 40.8

His 2 biggest "knocks" are what you would expect from a rookie which is really promising since that is expected. Which was his ability to handle pressure unrelated to poor Oline play (which is awful understandably).

But basically summed up:

  • There were like 2 or so sacks where it was his fault since he was trying to run around trying to make a play instead of getting rid of it.

  • There were some sacks where he didn't recognize the extra man in a blitz, and needs to recognize that the ball has to either be dumped off short or just thrown away.

Which has been remarked as normal rookie stuff. QB School did mention this in his week 1 evaluation, but believed week 1 was very promising.

He did mention that he also felt like some of the schemes, not all didn't help Stroud at times. It wasn't a bash on Slowik or anything, since he actually liked some of the play designs.

Cannot wait to see Stroud with a decent offensive line.

Bonus Question: Is Nico Collins simply that much better this year or does he finally have a QB to find him in space? He's currently in the middle of a breakout season with a PFF score of 89.0
