Slowik’s Play Calling Has Similarities to Shane Waldron’s Firing

I wrote a whole bit and Reddit didn't post it, so I'll give the sloppier re-written version.
1) There can be problems with both the OLine and OC, but more-so the play-calling because it needs to accommodate for any issues with the OLine. Max protection can be beat if one man makes it through and the QB doesn't have anyone to throw to
2) Deep concepts, no use of the middle of the field, no dump off. More proof for y'all.
3) Play design makes it easier for the defense to lock up receivers/makes it harder for receivers to get open.
4) I wonder if CJ lofting balls is a coaching issue or CJ just not making good decisions. At some point, I would like him to be less conservative and zip balls into tighter windows or force the receiver to make a good play and not just wait for them to get open. It's not a knock on CJ, but imo this would be the next step in his development that could also allow his abilities to overcome hurdles such as this play-calling.
On the other hand, I don't think we're getting rid of Slowik. Despite his issues carrying over from last year, he's propped up by CJ's rookie season and now Mixon's success assuming it continues, a winning season, and most likely another trip to the playoffs. We also kept Kenyon Green in even if it meant CJ getting sacked 8 times. Meco most likely isn't going to cut his friend so soon.
As much as my confidence in this team as been deflated, we do have a sliver of hope with Nico coming back. If there are 2 provens in Slowiks bs, it's the ability to get Nico open and forcing the run down everyone's throat. It's not going to be the offense we had imagined, but if Nico can pull off some Jamarr Chase like magic and our defense can create turnovers, we still make a run. If either of those 2 falter, we're cooked. It may not be a dominant run, but if the stars align, a reason to be hopeful.
