Shoutout to the Baylor doctors and translator that saved a man’s life on my flight this past Thursday.

Was flying to Boston from Houston this past Thursday evening and woke up to a commotion just behind me. A man was apparently having a heart attack. Luckily there was a team of doctors from Baylor that were flying to Boston for a medical conference who jumped into action and started taking care of him until we diverted to Atlanta and the paramedics came aboard to take the man to the hospital. The man was traveling alone and only spoke Arabic and the flight attendants were able to find someone to translate for the team of doctors.

The captain came on the intercom eventually and announced he was stabilized, and even read a short passage a passenger wrote about how the skills and diversity of America saved the man’s life. I’m gonna take this as a personal win for H-town. Good job keeping everyone safe and calm!!
