Shady tow companies Galleria

Went to eat at Casa Do Brasil near Galleria on Sage the other day. Parked on the far side of the lot to bring some friends from across the street to join us. In the 15 minutes I was gone, my car had already been towed. Instead of our party spending $700 at the restaurant, I spent $300 and about 2 hours getting my car back and we just went to eat somewhere else.

Serious question – is anyone doing anything about this crap? I hear stories all the time of shady tow companies towing customers while they are eating. I’ve already been eating out a lot less after getting my car broken into twice – these places don’t bother to pay for security but instead just let tow companies run rampant on their lots. Instead of restaurants and businesses getting our money, it’s just going to these leeches who add no value. What can be done??
