Retail chains face a big decision amid the coronavirus outbreak: stay open and risk their employees’ health, or close and risk cutting into already thin profit margins.

This week several chains announced changes and closures as restrictions grow in cities hit by outbreaks. Many are keeping their online operations open but advising employees to work from home.
