Seriously, what do we (fans) do?

This entire situation we find ourselves dealing with is so disheartening.

I was an Oilers' fan growing up… then they left. The years Houston didn't have a team sucked. I bounced around from a one team to the next trying to find my new club to support. I was a Tennessee fan until they became the Titans. I wanted to like the Falcons, but rooting for a team I had no true connection to was weird. Then I just tried to root for players I respected, but that wasn't fulfilling. Thankfully, NFL football came back to Houston and I finally felt like I was reconnected with the sport and city I love to support!

I've rode with this team, season after season, since their inaugural season. I've been to at least 1 home game each season, except for this past one for obvious reasons. I live live in Austin, I do not and have not lived in Houston. That means every season, I spent money to drive to Houston, get a hotel, eat, drink, park, wear their colors, etc. etc. Some seasons I've gone to 2 or more games. I've taken off work or left early to get to Thursday night games and drove back same night, exhausted to be back at work on Friday morning. I have been laughed at by visiting teams' fans after embarrassing losses. I've spent money to be jeered by home teams' fans when I traveled to support this team on away games. F**k man, all of this s**t lately is really starting to bum me out!!!

I don't want to root for another team. I remember how much the NFL sucked when I didn't have a team I legitimately cared for. I don't want to support this dumpster fire. I have so many fucking Texans' shirts… I usually wear to the gym, and lately I don't even wear them to the gym b/c I don't want to promote them in any way, shape, or form. It's embarrassing to be associated with them.

The moves they have made in the past week, to me, seem to really demonstrate the front office absolutely does not care about its fanbase, and so I'm just waiting for the final hammer to drop (i.e. DW4 & JJ get traded) and then I feel I will be done with them. That thought just bothers me so much…

So, I ask, again, what do we do?

And also, don't give me the whole "Real fans stick with the team BS." This franchise doesn't want to win. PERIOD… and if you aren't trying to win, then what's the point?

TL;DR… longtime fan saddened by current state of Texans and wondering what do others plan to do once it is all said and done.
