Seeking any ways to receive help regarding kids damaging apartment stuff and harassing our unit.

Me and my fiancee live in a complex in Northwest Harris County.

We’ve experienced issues with kids before but not to this extent. Recently a unit in front of us (who’s been receiving complaints left and right from residents) invited around ten teenagers into their two bedroom apartment. I’m assuming there’s not enough room in said apartment, so everyday they’re outside banging a basketball against unit walls, screaming, throwing rocks at doors and windows and much more.

We’ve called the police but they’re unable to do anything. The parental guardians inside their cannabis smelling apartment refuse to answer for anyone, including apartment management. We’ve witnessed it several times in which they knock and knock and no one answers.

We’ve spoken with management, she mentioned possibly removing them from the complex due to several violations and complaints, but they haven’t taken any action yet. We feel helpless because their children. We cannot do much apart from scolding them, but they end up acting out again.

They also have a 2-3 year old child that walks out of their unit and strolls around the apartment at night by himself. I’m lost for words at this point and I need any suggestions for ways to rectify this. Management is closed today but I will be reaching out to them first thing tomorrow. One of the larger teens already threatened us so we’re staying inside today.

We are not alone as well. There are other residents who are fed up and sick of this whole ordeal. Is there any legal action that can be taken against the apartment as well for not trying to take care of this. Because at this point, we’re both scared for our lives, we get no sleep because they scream and bang around 11.30pm and we have nowhere else to turn.
