Scam sticker being put on ATM machines on banks in the Pasadena area.
| |
My girl took her mom to pull money out of an ATM machine at a Pasadena Wells Fargo and saw this sticker. She thought it looked kind of fishy so sent it to me and I called to check it out. So I go ahead and call the 888 number and it just says to leave a voicemail. So I come up with a fake name and leave a message for them to call me. So, tonight they did call me which I didn't answer and if it was legit, you think they would of left a message for Mr. <whoever> to call back. Right? No voicemail. Plus, I've never had an employer call me especially from a reputable company at 8:48 at night (unless I already worked there, on call etc) So, when I didn't answer, they decided to text me… I didn't forward it to the authorities but wanted to post on here so more people could see it. They never did get back to me with an address which I never obviously planned on venturing to. I want everyone to see this and be safe because I know everyone looking for work could be easily swayed by something like this. It's important to stay safe especially with all of the human trafficking s**t going in and around the state. I did call the 'Patrick' number back as soon above and again, nothing about that Wells Fargo in the voicemail or any of that sort. No name of company mentioned at all. BEWARE EVERYONE STAY SAFE!!! *Edit: I just thought it was a bit fishy that a company that could offer such a high paying position couldn't come up with a better strategy for attracting potential employees. Plus, if I'm hired on the spot, why the need for the bg check? Right? Fuckin clowns. submitted by /u/darkest_days13 |
