SBA winter disaster loan

SBA disaster assistance from winter storm

Anyone have experience with getting one of these? I was a renter without insurance (stupid I know) and my house flooded during the winter storm. I had to move out and pay two rents until I could return to my home more than a month later. I used some fema money for this. I lost many personal belongings and furniture. I have replaced some of these things by digging into savings, borrowing money, getting credit card, etc. With replacing basically everything i own , my money had been extremely tight. Tomorrow the SBA loan inspector is coming out. I want to get some money to help recover from all of the out of pocket expenses. But I’m quite worried that when he sees the things I was able to replace, that I don’t need the money. But the truth is right now I’m struggling to keep up with normal bills/ lateness on bills due to paying so much out of pocket. Anyone have experience with this?
