San Jacinto College to offer first bachelor’s degree later this year

The Texas Board of Nursing approved San Jacinto College’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree Jan. 23. When it begins offering degrees this fall, San Jacinto will be one of two community colleges in Houston to offer bachelor’s degrees, along with Lone Star College. 

Students in San Jacinto’s RN-to-BSN program will be resident nurses with an associate’s degree and some pre-requisites under their belts, such as nutrition, statistics and chemistry courses.
