Sam Houston Hotel

Hey all,

I’m going to Houston in April and I’ve booked rooms at the Sam Houston which seems nice enough online.

Here’s m concern, I’m going to have my teenage daughter and her friend with me and I’ve read reviews that there are a lot of homeless in the area and may not be safe to walk to/from hotel. I’m not sure how much I should believe these reviews, so here I am, asking r/Houston for some guidance.

I have no issue with homeless people at all. My main concern is safety since I will have someone else’s child in my care.

Are we good or should I stay elsewhere??
