Safety downtown as a woman traveling alone?

Hey, I’ll be in Houston soon for work and am trying to figure out if I can safely walk to and from work in the theater district at night. I’m comfortable in cities and know how to stay aware of my surroundings and move with purpose, but I’ve never spent much time in Houston. The theater I’ll be at recommended a few hotels around Central Station Main, and I’m wondering how safe it would be to walk back there late at night after a rehearsal or a show. Thanks in advance!
