Safe places to walk North Houston, 10-15 minutes away?

Hello,

I'm like 10 minutes north of the Heights, 15-20 mins from downtown.

Where is a good place to walk? Before living here, I had a park close by that had 1/2 mile loop, I think and what I liked about it was you were pretty much always able to see your car. Playgrounds were around it.

You were walking around 2 soccer fields. All pavement. Everyone was in ear shot distance, all open.

Well lit. I won't walk at dark here but concerned of going down these "trails" even though they're paved bc pppl aren't around.

Add: I also liked it bc I'd be able to listen to headphones, not be concerned of someone rushing me from behind.

Any school tracks open to the public? Near 77022
