Safe & nice apartment or townhome complexes in Houston/Jersey Village/Copperfield/Cypress?

My husband’s place of work is at the beltway and West Rd and we’re looking for a safe and nice complex within 20 mins from there in any direction. We have a 6 month old and are really concerned about safety/crime. Houston is getting less safe every year 🙁

Our last complex didn’t feel safe, everyone smoked everywhere, and we had so many maintenance issues.

Would prefer a higher end apartment that is pretty nice inside. Budget is $1900 for a 2 bedroom.
