Sad reality (Bobby staying in Houston)
We all know 2024 hasn’t been the year we were expecting from the offense. Majority of the dissatisfaction is attributed to Slowik. I just have a hard time believing the front office will pull the trigger and make a change. Probably best to accept the sad reality he’ll be here at least until half way through next season. Here’s why:
-
Last year CJ won rookie of the year and they won a playoff game. This year they won their division pretty easily. (Expected when you’re in the worst division in football, but still valid)
-
Injuries have constantly derailed any type of rhythm the offense was working on. Mixon, Nico, Diggs, Tank, etc.
-
O-line has struggled all season long. From penalties to injuries.
-
CJ is having some sophomore slumps and it’s okay to admit that. Simply explained by the issues listed above.
All this gives Bobby plenty of excuses to keep his job. Plus they still have an opportunity in the playoffs to end on a high note. I for one dislike his inability to make in-game adjustments, and wish we could get CJ a more competent coordinator. l just don’t see it happening.
Save your breath, Save your stress, and accept the sad reality. 😔🤘
