Running ERs in Austin, Africa helped prepare Jeremy Gabrysch to lead a health care startup during coronavirus pandemic

Dr. Jeremy Gabrysch spent nearly four years helping run a hospital in Ethiopia before returning to Texas a few years ago and becoming an entrepreneur, starting on-demand health care company Remedy with his wife, Christina.

He’s reminded of that experience as an emergency medicine physician in the developing world now that the United States is grappling with the outbreak of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
