Roof help (insurance/etc)

In a 2200 sq ft home and homeowners insurance keeps going up due to age of roof. I got a quote from my broker which must cheaper insurance but it is contingent on passing a roof inspection..

A 2% deductible would run like 7k… file a claim and i guess progressive would cover depreciated coverage at this point and not full replacement..

How much is a roof without going through insurance and paying cash?

Wouldnt this significantly lower my insurance if i prove i have a brand new roof??

Do i hire a reputable roofer and have them inspect? Seems like if I do one wrong thing in the wrong order, i could be paying for it..

Help?
