Road tripping your way

Hello good people of Reddit! I'm coming to Houston on a cross country road trip and I'd like any suggestions you have for places to visit when I'm in the area.

The nature of my road trip involves camping, car camping, and hostels for lodging. As I go, I'll be filming an interview series with whoever I meet who wants to participate wherein I ask you questions about aliveness, intimacy, and our political moment.

I'm queer, an artist, and I love a good view of the outdoors. I like hanging with experimental, open folks. I like a good comedy show and I love things that are silly or absurd. If you can think of anything to do or spaces to visit that might fit this criteria, please let me know.
