Road trip precautions and safety

First timer in US, planning for a road trip with family from Houston to Florida to start with. I've got Honda Pilot 2014 EX 148k miles on it. Bought used but runs great, got 3rd party insurance. Plan to drive during daytime only. Need advise what I need to get checked in my car before making the trip? IF I face any car trouble in the middle what should I do and whom to contact? Appreciate your suggestions please based on your experience.
