Rice University to eventually hire more faculty, expand building to accommodate business undergraduates

Last year, Peter Rodriguez, dean of Rice University’s Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business, decided he wanted to create an undergraduate business degree. While Covid-19 slowed those plans down, the school will soon begin accepting students for the fall 2021 semester.

“We had a little bit of uncertainty, but in truth it only slowed us for a couple of months. We just decided we had to get it done,” Rodriguez said.
