Rethinking Your Life – a YouTube Video by Les Brown

I'm sharing Golden Nugget highlights from a video by Les Brown because it's timely with what we are all going through with the Corona Virus and economic shutdown throughout the world. The video published by Les Brown on www.YouTube.com contains several messages for people who see the times we are living in right now as an opportunity to make a change within themselves. If that is you, whether you have already started to change or you are contemplating, read on. You'll find the link to the YouTube video "Rethinking Your Life", by Les Brown, at the bottom of this article under House Keeping Stuff. The nudge that Les gives us to rethink our lives reminds me of the work one of my friends, Carl Loop, is doing. He's currently completing a book called Monday's Reimagined. Stay tuned for more on that book release coming soon. Thanks for reading and I do hope this brings you inspiration. Questions to ask yourself Are you satisfied with your life as it is?Is your life giving you what you want?If you had to live your life over again, could you have done more than what you have done so far?Are you going to go back to the same job or are you going to do something different?Golden Nugget of Wisdom from Les's YouTube videoOne of the things about now, we are ALL in a place we've never been to before. Now is the time for us to think and focus on what's important.A lot of people are hunkering down and waiting on time to pass but some people are reexamining their lives and they will emerge stronger, capable, more educated, with a clear vision of what they want to do and how they will finish strong. You have something special, you have greatness within you. Take this as a time to focus on you, it's a moment in time that God has given you to step out of the rat race of life and emerge a different kind of person. The type of personal growth and change that brings with it great strides in life doesn't just happen. You need to seek and find answers to what will bring about the positive change you seek. This is a major defining moment for a lot of us, for those who survive through this, we don't want the same. We want radical change and this is the moment to achieve it. We are living through a critical point, a time when you have to be mindful and make good choices. What's your strategy to get through and excel? When this is all said and done, innovations, products, and new businesses will come out of this from some of us. Will you be one of these people? What are you going to create? The tragedy of life comes not from reaching your goal but not having a dream. It's not a disaster to be unable to capture your ideal. To not have an ideal to capture is the real disaster. Most people fail in life not because they aim too high and miss but because they aim to low and win. There is more in me than I have been expressing. How are you spending this time? Look at yourself, your goals, your dreams. When you decide to take your life in another direction, you will face obstacles from people who want you to continue living a small life. Even people who will benefit from your success might be the ones bringing you down. People who should be members of your encouragement club switch and become members of the discouragement club. Adversity introduces you to yourself. How are you being, how are you showing up? Are you being mean spirited, ugly, and nasty and taking it out on your children, spouse, family members? Rethink your life and ask yourself if this is really you? Is what you are doing going to take you closer to your dreams? Do these things you're doing and saying represent the best you?Les Brown's New BookLes Brown has a new book out called "You Got to Be Hungry". You can get your copy at www.amazon.com. The introduction talks about buried treasures and how you owe it to yourself and the world to rob the cemetery of your greatness. Don't take your talents, your dreams, your potential with you to the grave. While we are facing millions of lost jobs, and confused leadership, fear, and anger – the people that will emerge victoriously from this are "people that are hungry".How will you position yourself to that change? Tough times don't last but tough people do last. Many of us take comfort in knowing that this too shall pass. * Please share the article with others in your circle if the content helped you. A Word About This Write-UpMy name is Lisbet Newton.
