Restaurants that actually impressed you?

I moved here recently from Portland, OR and while I lived there I constantly found restaurants I thought were great. I haven't had as much luck since moving here. Maybe i'm looking in the wrong places? Looking for any restaurant recs that rise above the noise that really impressed you.
