Resident Parking Permits

I live in the heights on a very quiet street. The street is short with I-10 on one end and White Oak Bayou on the other. One side is just houses and the other is traffic operations. However, this week a bar just opened on our street and now every afternoon and evening is madness. The bar began construction before covid and then there was a long pause, I had no idea when or if this place would ever open. To my surprise, I was caught in traffic in my neighborhood on my way home from work this week and that's when I saw the bar had opened.

I am about 400 ft. from this bar, I don't hear any music or noise from it, but the traffic is just insane. Cars are constantly coming through this narrow dead end street and realizing there's no parking before turning around or straight up reversing out of there. I luckily park in the garage, but some residents are left with no nearby parking at their own home and feel it's unsafe to walk their dogs because of the amount of constant traffic. Our HOA is working on getting city council to designate our side of the road as resident only parking.
