Rep. Hinojosa wants to slow investment firms’ purchases of homes in Texas

A 2021 report from the National Association of Realtors found that Texas led the nation in homes sold to companies and corporations. The study found that while institutional buyers made up 13% of all sales in the nation’s residential market, Texas saw 28% of all purchases made by the investor class.
