Renting an apartment in the loop with a motorcycle.

I'm looking to get a motorcycle soon and worried about it getting stolen if I move to an apartment in the city. Does anyone else ride? how do y'all keep your motorcycle safe? Or are there any apartments that have garages you can rent?
