Rental Extensions Apartment

Can anyone help me understand how Landlords can increase the price by $80+ dollars with a extension?

A little information, okay so my lease agreement was up on 6-15-21 and today I received a letter which I had no knowledge of and on the letter it is stating on the lease agreement was over on 6-30-21 and that on 7-1-21 that it was effective?

Any idea if I can dispute it? Thanks! I'm new to having an apartment so I may have screwed myself.
