Rent and Christmas Assistance

Can anyone point me in the direction of some rent and Christmas assistance in the Katy/Houston area (zip 77084)? This isn’t like me. I’m embarrassed to even have to ask this but I don’t want myself and my kids (10,7) to be homeless. Apartment complex raised my rent almost $300 over the summer. My electric bills have doubled. I’ve been making ends meet, but this is the month when making ends meet has come to an end.

I’m not a bad person. I work full time for Harris County. I pay my bills. But with inflation, everything is catching up. My December rent is paid, but January’s I’ll have to pull out of somewhere and I don’t know where that somewhere is.

I’m not asking for money from anyone here. I just need to be pointed in the right direction for resources. Please don’t judge me. I’m doing the best I can.
