Reminder to check your palm trees as hurricane season winds up.

I had been attempting to give my palm tree time to recover and waiting for signs of life since the freeze. A couple weeks ago it started “leaking” and I figured it was time to call it and have it removed. They took it down today and the guys said they could squish it with their hands it was so rotten- big chunks of rotten wood (not to mention roaches and other critters) came out when they cut it into pieces. A huge risk if winds had kicked up. Also it was just gross.

So- if you’re waiting for a sign to get your trees removed- this is it.
