Relocating to Houston

Another relocation post, but here I go. Backstory: I’m a 31yo man, and my 25yo girlfriend just got offered an incredible job opportunity in Houston and we’re relocating!

I’m originally from Minneapolis, MN. So I’m assuming I won’t be needing winter gear. My main hobbies include both bouldering and riding motorcycles.

So with that all said… tell me about your city please. Her job is near uptown. What neighborhoods should we look for housing in? Do people ride motorcycles down there? Where do I meet them? Other cool activities for a young couple to check out or cool spots you suggest?

I’ve heard traffic sucks, and it’s hot! Anything else I should know? We’re going in pretty blind, but her job offer is too good to pass up.
