Relocating for hospital stay

Hey everyone, I’m relocating because by daughter has cancer and is being treated in Houston. Does anyone have any information on what neighborhoods are affordable, not too far from the hospital, and decent?

We’re in a way too expensive corporate housing apt that is pretty crappy but we are unable to get something better. I’m out of work as I’m the main person going to the appointments. My husband makes 3,711 a month and my mom will move too making about $2400. The problem is my husband has shitty credit.

Are we looking for the impossible? Treatment time looks like 2 years.
