Reliant Energy Fraud

Has anyone else ran into issues with Fraud and Reliant Energy in Houston? I recently started getting calls from Reliant Energy stating that I owed several hundred dollars. When I said I never lived in Houston they put a lean against my credit and sent it to collections. I have no idea how a company can randomly start charging me but I wanted to see if this is a broader issue and if anyone knows of any government agencies that could get them to remove the claim from my credit. When I reach out to them i get the same automated response stating that I need to provide proof, but there is no proof because I didn't do anything.
