Rehoming assistance

Hello, my partner and I found a stray dog so we took him to a vet to get checked for a chip and lo and behold the owner said he didn’t want him anymore… we took the dog home since we didn’t see another option at the moment but he is not getting along with one of our other dogs. They are both males and they have gotten into some pretty serious skirmishes (all started by our dog who is food aggressive and very territorial). We really can’t keep him due to this incompatibility but don’t want to just give him to an animal shelter… is that our only option here in town? He is an extremely sweet husky/malamute if anyone knows of a rescue please let me know!
