Recs for a weekend visit?

Hey Houston! I’m coming to the city for a weekend visit from May 18th to the 21st. I’ve done a bit of research but since the city is HUGE I’d love some local recs please 🙂

What I’m looking for/would like to have+do: – A cool, safe neighborhood for a solo woman – Art, culture, funky shops/galleries/cafes – Walkability within that neighborhood or proximity to public transport (if possible 🤞) – Delicious international cuisine (hard to find where I’m from). Open to pretty much anything that’s tasty, authentic and affordable-ish: Thai, Mexican, Vietnamese, Lebanese, whatever – Delicious local cuisine – same criteria as above. Burgers? BBQ? – Uncommon museums (such as the funeral one) – Small concerts, random events – Parks

What would you suggest? I’m open-minded and genuinely eager to discover the city even if just for a few days. Any tips welcome.

For reference I love the neighborhoods of Mile-End and Mont-Royal in Montreal.
